Humphrey, Giacopuzzi and Associates Equine Hospital relies on a team-based approach to handling our more complex and critical cases. Our staff works closely together to provide the best care for those patients within our intensive care, neonatal intensive care and isolation units. The majority of hospital stalls are equipped to deliver intravenous fluids and with 24-hour technical staff, patients’ statuses are constantly being monitored. A doctor lives on-site and one or more veterinarians are available for patient evaluation at any hour of the day or night. Immediate access to diagnostic options including complete in-house laboratory work, blood gas analysis, ultrasonography, radiology and endoscopy can providing immediate results to aid in case management. Oxygen is available within our neonatal units and blood donor horses are located on property for emergency transfusions.
