Dr. Michael Giacopuzzi, D.V.M.
Dr. Mike is one of the founders and co-owners of Humphrey, Giacopuzzi & Associates. He grew up locally on a dairy farm in Ventura County and graduated veterinary school from the University of California, Davis in 1980. After graduation he came to work with Dr. Weden Humphrey and bought the practice in 1983. Dr. Mike specializes in general surgery and lameness. He is very active in the local 4-H program, serves every year as the veterinarian for the Ventura County Fair and is a member of the Rancheros Vistadores.
Dr. Richard Giacopuzzi, D.V.M.
Dr. Richard is a co-owner of Humphrey, Giacopuzzi & Associates. He grew up in Conoga Park where he was raised in a ranching and dairy family. Before veterinary school he worked as a racetrack groom where his interest in equine practice was further developed. He graduated veterinary school from the University of California, Davis in 1979 and came to work here in Ventura County. Dr. Richard specializes in full service reproductive services. He is one of the most respected doctors in the area in the reproduction field. When not working, Dr. Richard is active in his church, listens to and plays bluegrass music and collects vintage guitars.
Dr. Hannah Klasson, D.V.M.
Dr. Hannah Klasson graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and joined the practice as an intern in 2012, and as an associate in 2013. Her professional interests include: internal medicine, theriogenology and neonatology, as well as wellness and preventative medicine. She completed the Chi Institute’s Equine Acupuncture course and began offering this a as a regular service at HGAE in 2014. Outside of work, Dr. Klasson enjoys riding her horse and traveling.
Dr. Will Jolley, D.V.M.
Dr. Will Jolley is a local, having grown up on an avocado farm in Fillmore and was a professional beekeeper before attending veterinary school at Western University. Dr. Jolley joined HGAE as a hospital intern in 2014, then as a staff associate doctor in 2015. Dr. Jolley’s professional interests include surgery, lameness, imaging and emergency medicine. When not at the clinic, Dr. Jolley enjoys working with his own horses at the family farm and surfing.
Dr. Cayla Moore, D.V.M.
Dr. Cayla Moore graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and spent the next year in New Jersey at an equine surgical internship. Her professional interests include general wellness care, lameness examinations, and diagnostic imaging. During her time at Humphrey, Giacopuzzi, and Associates Equine Hospital, she hopes to further develop her skills in ambulatory medicine, theriogenology, surgery, and anesthesia. When she is not working, Dr. Cayla enjoys spending time with her horse, hiking, reading, and baking.
